Defiant Grace

noun | de·fi·ant grace

The courage to stand firm when the world expects you to yield.

To resist without surrendering who you are.
To speak when silence would be safer.

To endure, persist, and make space for those who come after you.

Strength with purpose. Resistance with dignity. Courage that leaves the world changed.

Why Defiant Grace?

Defiant Grace was created to honor women who refused to accept the limits placed on them.

Some resisted loudly. Some changed the world through persistence, courage, creativity, or simply refusing to move when they were told to get out of the way. Their stories are different, but each left something behind for the people who came after them.

Through Defiant Grace, we tell a small piece of their stories in color—celebrating not only what these women accomplished, but the courage it took to do it.
