James Baldwin was a writer, activist, and one of the most powerful voices of the civil rights era. Through works like Giovanni’s Room and If Beale Street Could Talk, he explored love, identity, and the human need to be understood with unflinching honesty. His writing challenged the world to confront truth — and in doing so, created space for others to live theirs.

Room to Breathe reflects that space — the quiet moment where truth is no longer hidden and you are free to exist as you are.
